Alex Cortez’s story…

When Alex was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), the Autism Society along with other organizations have assisted Alex navigate with ASD and ADHD by providing resources and tools to assist him living with these disabilities. Alex’s Mother, Melissa Cortez, is a Paralegal in the legal field and youth advocate for children with special needs and disabilities. Melissa, along with Attorneys have successfully won lawsuits against school districts who have failed to adequately provide special education services to children with disabilities. Melissa strives to fight for those who do not have a voice on a daily basis but is especially passionate in helping children with special needs such as her son. 

Please join us in this walk or help us raise funds by donating as little as $1 to the Autism Society of Inland Empire so that they could continue to provide resources to the community for children and adults with ASD.

  (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. People with ASD often have problems with social communication and interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests. People with ASD may also have different ways of learning, moving, or paying attention.
